3. Click View Handheld Properties.
View handheld status information from the handheld
1. Connect the handheld to the administration computer on which the BlackBerry Manager is installed.
2. In the BlackBerry Manager, in the left pane, click Ports.
3. In the Connection list, click a connection.
4. Click View Handheld Properties.
Retrieve handheld status information
1. Connect the handheld to the administration computer on which the BlackBerry Manager is installed.
2. In the BlackBerry Manager, in the left pane, click Ports.
3. In the Connection list, click the handheld to retrieve handheld information from.
4. Click Retrieve Summary Properties.
Export handheld status information
1. In the BlackBerry Manager, in the left pane, click Handhelds.
2. In the User Name list, click a user.
3. Click Export Asset Summary Data.
4. Select a location to export the handheld data to.
5. Type a name for the handheld data file.
6. Click Save. The data is saved in a .csv or .txt file in the location that you specified in step 4.
Set handheld owner information
1. In the BlackBerry Manager, in the left pane, click a server.
2. On the User List tab, click a user.
3. In the right pane, expand IT Admin, and then click Set Owner Information.
4. Type the owner name and information.
5. Click OK.
Note: See “Appendix A: Exported handheld properties” on page 39 for a detailed description of the exported handheld
information.
Note: To prevent users from overwriting owner information, define the Set Owner Info and Lock Owner Info IT policy rules.
