prepopulation limits
In BlackBerry Enterprise Server Version 4.1, the maximum limit for email message prepopulation on the
BlackBerry device was 350 messages and messages that were 7 days old.
In BlackBerry Enterprise Server Version 4.1 SP1 and later, you can change the limit for email message
prepopulation to a maximum of 750 messages and messages that are 14 days old when you configure email
prepopulation in the BlackBerry Manager.

ability to change the log facility In BlackBerry Enterprise Server Version 4.1, you could not change the facility that the BlackBerry Enterprise
Server used to log to a SysLog. Previously, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server only used the Kernel (KERN) facility.
In BlackBerry Enterprise Server Version 4.1 SP1 and later, you can change the facility by adding a DWORD value
to the registry.
1. At the command prompt, type regedit.
2. In the left pane, browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise
Server\Agents.
3. Create a DWORD value called SysLogFacility.
4. Set the value to one of the following:
•KERN
•USER
•MAIL
•LPR
•AUTH
•DAEMON
•NEWS
UUCP
•LOCAL0
•LOCAL1
•LOCAL2
•LOCAL3
•LOCAL4
•LOCAL5
•LOCAL6
•LOCAL7
•MARK
5. Click OK.
